Creations by Oakwood Cooperage

Born from the heart of the UK’s largest independent cooperage, we transform retired whisky barrels into beautiful, functional pieces for your home and garden — from rustic planters to characterful furniture.

Crafted from genuine casks by skilled Scottish coopers, every product retains the rich character and charm of its origins. These barrels have aged fine spirits and travelled through the whisky world — now thoughtfully repurposed into something new, without losing their soul.

As part of Oakwood Cooperage, we bring decades of experience and craftsmanship to every item we make. We’re trusted by drinks brands globally, and that same commitment to quality and detail is poured into every Barrel Craft creation.

Circular design approach

Every product we make begins with a genuine cask that has completed its journey in the distillery. Instead of letting these barrels go to waste, we give them a second life, transforming them into beautiful, functional pieces for your home and garden.

By repurposing aged oak and using traditional cooperage techniques, we reduce waste, honour natural materials, and celebrate the character that only time can create. From staves to hoops, we make use of every part of the cask.

Choosing Barrel Craft means choosing products that are built to last, made with care, and rooted in a commitment to circular design.

Natural oak products

Every Oakwood Barrel Craft product is made from 100% genuine oak whisky casks, chosen for their strength and character. And, we are creating products designed to celebrate the natural grain, patina, and history of the wood.

Handcrafted by skilled coopers, no two pieces are exactly alike. From the curve of a stave to the markings left by years of maturation, every detail tells a story — one that continues in your home.

Whether you're adding a touch of whisky heritage to your garden or choosing a statement piece for your living space, you can trust that it's been made with care.
